Comenius-week in Finland

The pupils in Vuosaaren ala-aste celebrated European day and the two-year Comenius-project during a theme week in May. The week started with an assembly where the pupils were shown a slideshow of the travel character Väinö’s trips to Europe. One class had also prepared two Latvian folkdances.

During the theme week, pupils could visit Comenius-class where they could study all the products that had been made during the project, for example Heroes-books, comic strips, maths games etc. One class had prepared a quiz about the countries in this project and all the classes could take part in that. The Comenius-week was a success!
